Rules and Conditions for Publishing an Article
Articles to be published in the Mining Journal must meet the following requirements:
3.1. The article must be submitted in Georgian and English, no more than 10 pages. The article must be accompanied by annotations in Georgian and English of no less than 250 words. One author can submit no more than two articles.
3.2. The submitted article must be accompanied by an address from the institution where the work was performed;
3.3. The article is accepted in electronic form at the following address:
The submitted material must also be accompanied by information about the author (authors) – place of work, position, scientific degree and title, work or home address, phone number and e-mail.
Article Structure
- Title;
- Full name and surname of the author(s), place of work;
- Abstract in Georgian/English;
- Keywords;
- Introduction;
- Main part;
- Conclusion;
- Acknowledgements;
- References;
Technical Characteristics of Article Design:
The material for publication must be printed in A4 format with 1 interval. The text editor MS Word (doc or docx) should be used to prepare the article, font: Georgian – Sylfaen, size – 12, English – Times New Roman, size 12. Article margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2 cm, left – 3 cm, right – 1.5 cm.
The title should also be typed in the font used in Sylfaen (font size – 14) and aligned to the left margin.
The article material should be presented in the following order: UAC – font size 14, authors’ surnames and initials in Sylfaen letters, font – bold, font size 12, company/university name, font size 11, country – bold, aligned to the left margin.
The article should be accompanied by an annotation. Must be in Georgian and English, which are not the language in which the article is written. The annotation should briefly describe the subject of the article and the main results described in it. The recommended average volume of the annotation is up to 250 words. Font – italic, bold, aligned to the left and right edges of the page, font size – 12.
Keywords (in Georgian, English) – required and should contain 6-10 words. Keywords are separated from each other by commas. The keywords listed should accurately reflect the subject essence of the research.
Article text: font size – 12, line spacing – 1, paragraph – 1.25 cm, formatting: aligned to the left and right edges of the page.
Formulas and mathematical symbols should be executed in Microsoft Equation Editor.
Tables in the text should be made in Microsoft Word editor.
Images and graphic material should be placed in the frames of the working field in the text. Captions under images and graphic material should be bold, font 11, centered, spacing – 1, no period at the end of the image name.
In addition, tables and drawings should be presented as separate files, drawings should be made in TIFF, EPS, JPEG (not less than 300 dpi), tables: Word, Word Perfect, RTF.
Literature formatting style:
In the Mining Journal the Numbered Style is used.
Citation numbers in the text start from [1] and continue in ascending order throughout the work. Each number should be enclosed in square brackets inside the sentence punctuation, with a space before the bracket.
Example: …on the value in the second range [16].
Bibliography is placed at the end of the article in the order of citation of sources, numbered in square brackets. Font size – 12. Formatting: aligned to the left and right edges of the page. It should contain the surnames and initials of the author(s), title, data on the publisher, no more than 15-20 cited sources for an 8-page article.
